Is it true that if cat's whiskers were pulled out, it will die?

Nope. Growing up someone didn't like my friend so she took her cat and cut all of the whiskers off. Poor thing ran into walls until they grew back. Whiskers are senors which tell a cat the location of objects and how narrow of an area they can fit into, it's not a life support.
