Boy Help!!?

So, I'm talking to this guy and he's being a moron. He's flirting but won't reply to text messages until hours p by. He's also always online but is away. We've only been talking for a week and I really like him. He's always asking when we can hang out but when I mention it, he just brushes it aside. He's really serious about school, is that maybe we he's being so aloof? And how can I keep letting him know I am interested?
