Is my friend jealous of the attention i am giving my girlfriend?

o theres this girl who knows I liked her we are good friends. We are both female. I now have a partner who I am currently in a long distance relationship with. This other girl texts me and emails me daily numerous times. Sometimes 30+ times but thats how we always were in our friendship. She moved away 5 months ago and we have just got back in contact after a falling out and I havent seen her for a while. She tells me one thing she did realise while I was out of her life is that we have something special and no one can take it away and that I was always her rock when she was down. My partner just flew in yesterday and I notice this friends texts drop off. She texted me tonight saying how much she has the urge and it gets stronger day in day out to party it up with me and that she wants to pronto and then followed it with a text a few mins later saying she was sorry and forgot my partner was there and that she didnt mean to disturb me before I even had the chance to reply. I replied to these messages after 5 mins and said dont be stupid it's not forbidden to text whenever and she never replied. She replied this morning saying she fell asleep which was a croc of ****. Today however she has been texting all throughout the day and when i didnt write back in an instant she said 'boohoo your too busy to talk to me' and then she kept texting to me even though she knows I am out having fun with the girl I said me and her were playing pool and she said that I was just touching up on my skills to beat her. I sent her something in the mail and she just got it today and she was telling me all the rude things she is going to do to it when she gets home (its a toy duck) and that she is just about to use it on herself (its a personal mager)
